Emma (retreat faciliator & lead teacher)
Emma is an Irish 400+ hour yoga and mindfulness teacher, a qualified Tibetan sound bowl therapist, and a mum of two young girls (4 and 2). She specialises in prenatal and postpartum yoga, with a deep interest in holistic women’s health at all life stages.
Based in Hoi An since 2018, Emma brings both professional training and lived experience to her work. Having navigated chronic illness, depression and trauma herself, she creates spaces that feel deeply safe, grounded, and human – where students are met exactly as they are.
Through gentle, embodied movement, breathwork, sound, and mindfulness practices, Emma supports her students and retreat guests in reconnecting with their bodies, honouring their intuition, and becoming their own greatest guides. Her work is rooted in the belief that true wellbeing comes from slowing down, listening deeply, and learning to live with more balance and ease.
Emma teaches weekly Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra classes in Hoi An, alongside her prenatal and postpartum offerings, and hosts monthly Mothers’ Circles from her home. Her own journey – including living with alopecia – has shaped her understanding that yoga is not about fixing or striving, but about cultivating gratitude, presence, and peace, even in life’s messier moments.
Emma’s classes are slow, mindful, and gently challenging, inviting students to soften into stillness, reconnect with their breath, and heal from within. She will be your lead teacher, and your main point of contact, throughout the retreat. Aside from teaching 4 x morning yoga sessions, an afternoon workshop and the evening yin / nidra sessions, Emma is available for 1:1 sound bowl treatments and support throughout your stay.
